I used pastels, pencil, and those thick color pencils. I didn't finish. This was my first time completing a piece with pastel (coconut).

SCRATCHBOARD
This assignment is by far my favorite. I did my favorite animal, a pig, and I'm proud of this work. You have to be mindful of how much pressure you put on the white pencil so you can create shade. It was challenging at first but it was fun.
PORTRAIT
I apologize for it being unfinished. I did the Girl with the Pearl Earring with a portrait of my mother. I didn't think I did too bad with the proportions and the details I displayed.
PROPORTIONS
I'm not that good at drawing people but I did enjoy practicing it. The best part was when we had models and we had 2 to 15 mins to draw the subjects before they did another pose. I don't have the picture shown but I loved drawing Nick Gar out of all of the other people. He had a lot of detail and texture in his clothing and hair.
COLLAGE
I plan on becoming a special needs teacher and I dedicated this work to that. A part of the figure shown is an arm being held forearm crutch. I wish I spent more time putting all the newspaper on the drawing. It was going to display shades of gray and thats harder than you think. All the white or black letters made it more challenging to show highlights and shadows
PERSPECTIVE DRAWING
I really was interested in doing the drawing with a train station. It was hard working with two pespectives and creating stairs. I did enjoy making the signs in the second drawing. With this work you really have to pay attention to measurements so everything looks as realistic as possible.
